Jacky Describes the Similarities of Pain & Happiness

Like many other fathers, there are many painful & happy stories about his children.

Jacky attended the opening ceremony of a radio programme called "Parents' Love" & announced the results of a survey polling parents' most painful & most happy stories about their children. A father brought along his autistic son to attend the event. When the little boy heard Jacky's song "Love is Eternal", he even knew how to hum along to the song. His father was also surprised by it, therefore this song become the theme song for the radio programme. When Jacky knew about this yesterday, he felt touched & kept playing with the little boy & took pictures with him. The little boy even gave him a kiss.

"Love is Eternal" Interests Autistic Child

Jacky expressed that he didn't expect his own song to have such influence, but felt touched knowing that it could actually make someone happy. As a father of 2 daughters, Jacky's painful stories are of course that of his daughters being sick. His happiest stories are also naturally that of them being healthy. Although his 2 daughters are only 5 years old & 8 months old respectively, what he's most worried about is that his daughters may self-mutilate in future. He said, "The things that my daughters do, will make me happy. For example, my elder daughter said that she won't get married, so she can stay with daddy. I know that's a lie, but I'm still very happy. I told her to wait till she's older."

Don't let Children get Addicted to the Internet

According to reports, parents are very happy if their children don't pick up lost things on the streets. Jacky knows this & also wants to talk to his elder daughter, because she's always picking up things on the streets. Reports also indicate that parents are even happier if their children are cheerful. Jacky said that his elder daughter is starting to get addicted to watching TV. Jacky rejoices that his 2 daughters are very cheerful, sometimes too cheerful that they are beyond discipline. Reports state that parents are worried when their children get too addicted to the Internet & watching TV. Jacky said that his elder daughter is starting to get addicted to watching cartoons. Jacky said that he will be very sad if his daughters were to be addicted to the Internet in future, because he knows nothing about the Internet. When asked about whether his elder daughter hit his younger one, he said, "They do hit around but it's all just play."

Worried & Regretful About His Father

Reports reveal that the most painful issue in parents' hearts are when their children are sick. Jacky said, "It will definitely make parents very worried. For example, my 70 year old dad's cerebellum (little brain: a region of the brain that plays an important role in the integration of sensory perception and motor output) has shrank, & he can't move around freely. He has to be hospitalized whenever the weather changes. As a son, I also can't help him. I can only make more doctor friends, so that I can ask for advice when problems arise."

Jacky also regrets not knowing his parents' birthdays, because even his parents themselves can't remember their own birthdays. The only thing Jacky can do now is to try & make them remember his birthday. Is his & May's ways of teaching their children the same? Jacky replied that many parents, like his wife, focus on their children's academic results, but he feels that parent-child relationship is the most important.
