ORIENTAL DAILY NEWS - Jacky Cheung's all new Cantonese album Life is like a dream is releasing on the 20th of this month. For this album, Jacky has become a multi-faceted artist. Besides composing and writing his own lyrics, Jacky writes his own essays and uses his album as a form of personal expression. Yesterday Jacky received a radio interview and revealed one of the lines from his essays: "I dreamed I could fly, but I was still standing on the ground." In those essays, Jacky found his life perspective and said he has great interests in writing. He wants to publish a book for his daughter and hopes the two generations won't have any gaps. And does Jacky want to have a boy? "Before, all along I thought I wanted a boy, but after having a girl, I don't want boys anymore, and think girls are smarter. Girls mature faster and they're sweet. Boys are more careless." Does Jacky love to take care of others? "No, I can't even take care of my sister, and my brothers and sisters don't gather very often and I have to be responsible. So, the relationship sacrifices can only go so far. The thing I'm not used to is being proactive. My family and I are very close to our parents and my household is very simple, only my wife and my daughter. I hope I can lessen the generation gap, and when I control my daughter I don't hit her or be rude. All I need to do is blacken my face to scare her a little, but it creates a gap. When there's a problem, she talks to the maid and not to me, so I am pretty unhappy about that." There are fans who say that Jacky is being reserved on purpose this year from the public. Is that so? "I don't really contact others to talk, because I can find the exit road myself, and won't paint myself into a corner. Even during hard times, I can take care of most of the things myself."
