ORIENTAL DAILY NEWS - Jacky Cheung returns to the boxing ring with a new movie Gong Wu, and according to Eric Tsang, Jacky's stellar performance may earn him a Best Actor award. However, the singer-actor grew unhappy as the days went on. Jacky was asked to change a line of dialogue and to re-record his track. However, Jacky wasn't able to accept the new script and forced himself to record it once. He exploded in anger and left the studio, and even approached Eric to complain. "Normally I rarely get angry but I got mad one time while recording dialogue for Gong Wu. The director changed the script and I didn't want to say it. I felt the dialogue wasn't appropriate and it didn't match. When we filmed we didn't have this, it was added later on...At the time under those circumstances I really didn't to record it but I did it once. After listening to it I felt it was terrible. I felt we didn't need to add this line. I said to the assistant director: 'Why do we need this? Help me erase it.' and then I left. He felt embarassed and I thought that it wasn't his fault, it was mine, sorry. Afterwards I was going to Eric's birthday party and I was telling him we don't need to add that line and we should use the original. But Eric says it helps the script and let's see which is the best. If it's not good then we'll use the old line." Was the line a curse word? Jacky says it wasn't.
