ORIENTAL DAILY NEWS - Jacky Cheung spent 3 years on his album Life is Like a Dream, which goes on the market today. Yesterday they held a big press conference, including Universal Music, IFPI, the Hong Kong album association, and 3 radio stations. Because Jacky hasn't released any albums for 3 years, Universal is handling this release with extra care. The album is nicely packaged and also contains 80 photographs and a personal book from Jacky. Their production cost is almost double of a regular album. Jacky is asking fans to support legal music: "MP3 and downloads affect the music business in a big way. The industry has shrunk to an eighth of the previous size. Right now it's very frightening. I hope everyone can cherish Hong Kong's music business, and absolutely don't download, don't be so bad." Because the production costs are high, Jacky says the costs have lowered because he created, composed and wrote all the songs. He even joked that he had to pay money to have this album come out. Jacky's book contains personal writings, one of which is addressed to his wife May Lo: "When I see your soft smile, it is my happiest moment. When I see that you're happy, it is my greatest success." Jacky even publicized his thanks for May: "My wife is my greatest motivator, greatest supporter. She asked me to do more promoting. I've never heard her say those words before."
