Despite her serious illness, Hong Kong pop star Anita Mui is set to hold a series of concerts from November.
She says she is ready and able to do the shows. Unlike her previous concerts, which were full of hot dances and fast songs, her upcoming concerts will mostly feature slow songs.
She said she will perform with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and will present fans with her best songs from the past 20 years.
Anita Mui confirmed earlier this month that she has been suffering from cervical cancer. It was a shocking revelation to Hong Kong's show biz community. But the strong-willed singer won't let the disease interrupt her singing career.
A lot of heavyweight stars such as Jacky Cheung and Andy Lau have volunteered to be guest singers at the concerts. The famous singer says she really treasures this chance because she is not sure when she can stand on the stage to hold another solo concert again.
