Anita Mui, who is suffering from cervical cancer, will be in Singapore in December to launch a book to raise funds for the Children's Cancer Foundation.

The Hong Kong star wrote the Chinese book, which features her friends, including Nicholas Tse, Sammi Cheng, Jackie Chan, Alan Tam, Jacky Cheung and Kelly Chen, talking about women's roles in life and their struggles.

Titled The Heart Of The Modern Woman (Nu Ren De Xin), the book is being published by Hong Kong's Ming Pao Weekly.

Mui will be in Singapore at the book launch-cum-fund-raiser on Dec 14.

The two-hour event at Ngee Ann City's Civic Plaza will start at 5pm, says a spokesman, and all proceeds from the sale of the book in Singapore will go to the Children's Cancer Foundation.

She will fly into Singapore on Dec 13 and stay until Dec 15. Organisers were not prepared yet to release further details about the singer's itinerary here.

It is not known if she will perform at the launch, which will be open to the public.
