Karen Mok and Eason Chan Win Taiwan Golden Melody Awards

In Saturday's Taiwan Best Melody Awards ceremony, Karen Mok and Eason Chan won the best female and male Mandarin singer award. Eason Chan couldn't make the ceremony because of a solo concert in Hong Kong.
Many pop stars including A-mei, Jay Chow and Jacky Cheung participated and performed at the ceremony.
Mainland singer Na Ying, a nominee in the best female singer category, didn't show up. Sources say the famous pop singer instead chose to go to the soccer game between Spanish giants Real Madrid and the Chinese Dragon Team at Beijing's Workers' Stadium on Saturday.
